Ashford International Hotel & Spa (Ashford, England) transformed for the very first EMPOWER Gala, a celebration of success.

Local production company Kent Media Group was contracted to provide full AV, lighting and audio production for the event, including the deployment of a ground-stacked HORIZON system, comprising 6x VHA 406ND active line array and 4x VHA 118SND active subwoofer cabinets, all with Dante built-in and controlled with FBT’s innovative INFINITO – System Management Suite control software.

“As far as versatility and practicality go, this was the ideal system for us and it’s certainly justified the upgrade over the last couple jobs – tonight was definitely no exception!” were the remarks from company director, Jack Wilson, when asked about his use cases for HORIZON.

Configuring and monitoring the HORIZON system is simple with a dedicated network for the Infinito software control, allowing easy cabinet configurations, EQ adjustments, monitoring driver load and power draw, delay, polarity and temperature monitoring to name a few of the capabilities of the software.

“Infinito control on these cabinets made the world of difference when it came to configuring the PA for the event.” Jack added. “Even down to details like EQing groups instead of individual cabinets, or setting up delays on larger scale systems. I can see this already integrating with what we do, mainly for the centralised control of an already scalable PA system”.

Pavilion Vik, Departamento de Maldonado (Uruguay), was thought by Alex and Carrie Vik together with Marcelo Daglio, who created a dazzling event space built directly off the sea with a large terrace on the beach.

With a natural, organic and unobstructed aesthetic, its dome-like structure of a plant boasts lapacho wood exterior and has textured maple wood interiors that enhance beautifully and hold all kinds of meetings. The striking interior captures the attention of visitors with hundreds of lights on the ceiling that design a starry sky, creating an environment totally different from any other. The complex consists of Vik Beach and Vik Ranch, with a capacity of up to 450 seated guests and 1000 in cocktail format. Pavilion Vik had everything to succeed, it just lacked an efficient and quality sound system. And LucesPro managed to find the solution by installing the FBT products.

Vik authorities were looking for a sound equipment of international quality, with versatility and support in Uruguay. Thus, LucesPro is incorporated into the project starting with the stage of calculations and measurements. It then continued with the development of the commercial part, and three months later was concluded with the installation of a Horizon VHA system of FBT.

By incorporating a new generation sound system, Pavilion Vik’s new facilities improved audio intelligibility.

“The sound design was in charge of our project department, taking into account all the characteristics of the place and the needs of the client,” said Gerardo Hernández, who added that “The boxes were flown over 6 meters in height with anchor points generated specifically for the installation”. Once the system was finished, LucesPro trained local technical staff in the use of these sound systems.

Gerardo Hernández, who led the project and the system adjustment, had the collaboration of Diego De Carolis, who works as an assembly and safety supervision technician, and Joaquín Villat, who helped in the adjustment of the HORIZON VHA system of FBT.

When highlighting the quality of FBT cabinets, Hernandez said that “treble clarity always stands out in FBT systems and with Horizon VHA is no exception and adds the surprising power of the Sub HORIZON 118SA“

The combination of the installed equipment accurately addresses the needs of the Pavilion Vik, especially in delivering the highest levels of clarity for speech, singing and different performances. And, important for a complex like this, the durability and quality of FBT products mean that the Pavilion Vik by Jose Ignacio will enjoy the advantages of its new audio solution for many years.

More precisely in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sibley (Iowa), Omega Organ & Audio, LLC. has installed main and balcony speakers from the elegant Vertus CLA and Ventis series.

Dunamis International Gospel Centre, the largest church auditorium in Africa and in the world, was established in 1996. A few months ago, FBT distributor for Nigeria, Showgear Ltd., was asked to put an end to the audio problems that have been going on for too long.

Our team took the challenge and covered the 100,000 seats of the Glory Doom with a complete FBT demo system that was supposed to last for a week:

About 50,000 people were at the Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), to celebrate the Opening Ceremony of the 3rd National Games and the 1st Paralympic Games in November 21. In the huge crowd, Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany to welcome and support the athletes. 
The inauguration of this event has been hosted by the Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), where the accurate FBT system provided high fidelity sound for both speech and music applications. 

Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism of the Royal Government of Cambodia felt very enthusiastic about the sound, as well as the Malaysian sound engineers in charge of the event.
