Sari city project: theater hall, music hall, cinema and convention hall

For the Sari city project (Iran), which includes a theater hall with 612 seats, a music hall with 165 seats, and a cinema and convention hall with 190 seats, building acoustics has been a significant technical challenge, since the halls are situated in close proximity to busy streets. A peaceful and noise-free environment is necessary for the optimal functioning of theater, music, and cinema halls.
Achieving the desired acoustic environment involves a range of technical considerations, from the design of the building itself to the selection of sound-absorbing materials and the careful placement of acoustic panels. To address this, the team built a second wall to prevent audio noise from outside. The Fares Technology team also needed to ensure good sound quality in each hall, which required careful consideration of the sound system design. They selected FBT products for this purpose.

Two HORIZON VHA line array systems, 6x VHA 406A and 2x VHA 112SA, in vertical configuration at the convention and cinema hall to provide high-quality sound output.
The team’s efforts paid off, the sound engineer Mr. Modarres, said: “We experienced one of the best sound systems that we heard because of good room acoustic and wonderful sound system”. To ensure that the halls met acoustic and sound system parameters, the customer requested that “The Road, Housing & Urban Development Research Center” measure all halls for certification. The results were outstanding, and the team received praise from Mr. Mosleh, the project manager. Overall, the SARI city project was a success due to the team’s attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality product.
